The return of the Jerry Bob Lee Classic golf tournament at his home course of Eldorado.
Format: 4-Player Scramble
Includes: Food, Cart & Green fees, Range balls, and chances to win money, prizes and raffles.
After prizes and tournament fees, all proceeds go to the Kenny Can Foundation.
The rebirth of this golf tournament is in honor of Jerry Lee, who loved his family, dear friends, his church, his community, his job in I.T. (including working at the awesome Wisteria!), the wonderful game of golf, his golf club Eldorado CC, the Masters, and Dallas pro sports teams. But in early 2011, he left us much too soon and lost his 16-month battle to glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), an extremely aggressive form of brain cancer.
When Jerry was diagnosed suddenly in early 2010, the Kenny Can Foundation for Brain Cancer stepped up and helped our family, and the proceeds of the JBL Golf Classic will go to Kenny Can, which was conceived shortly after Kenny Dennis was diagnosed with GBM as well.
Like Jerry, Kenny's can-do spirit, especially in the face of such a debilitating disease, was an inspiration to everyone he touched. And once the fight was over, Kenny's family picked themselves up and went to work tirelessly raising money for research, providing emotional support to those battling brain cancer and working with medical centers across the nation that are dedicated to fighting this disease.
We have only just begun and we invite you to participate in the Jerry Bob Lee Golf Classic to help the Kenny Can Foundation lead the fight against brain cancer.
